Excellently run event; great atmosphere and very friendly team. Especially considering the cost of other events on the market this is brilliant value for money!
Oh! And it takes place in one of the most beautiful parts of the world 😍
Definitely recommend!
This was the hardest, but one of the most beautiful runs I've ever done. The minimal organisation for the event made it run smoothly, the 3 pit stops were well spaced, well stocked, apart from the Coca-Cola, and well manned. My number never arrived in time, and they wrote the number on my arm, and I will be honest I preferred this over a bib flapping about. Id suggest keeping this at this in future rather than a bib. Just make sure you check the kit list, and get registered for next April

Sheep’s Head Ultra
What an unforgettable experience! The 65km ultra marathon hosted by Endurance Life on Saturday 5th April was a true test of endurance—brutal in parts, but absolutely stunning throughout.
The course was tough, with relentless climbs, technical descents, and terrain that kept you guessing. But what made it all worthwhile was the breathtaking scenery. From rugged coastline views to peaceful trails, every mile offered something beautiful to take in (when you had the energy to look up!).
Endurance Life once again nailed the organisation—clear signage, well-stocked aid stations, and a great team of volunteers who kept spirits high. It’s the kind of race that pushes your limits but leaves you feeling accomplished and already thinking about signing up again next year.
A true challenge, but one I’d highly recommend to any trail runner looking to take things up a notch.

The area was stunning the views and atmosphere fabulous, the other participants friendly and the locals encouraging. The organisers had the course well thought through and signposted yet with care for the environment and locals.
I found the course extremely challenging in the last 4 miles, this is the last large climb and the ridge line run out. All very stunning but with the terrain being difficult slow going and almost heart breaking to watch your hard earned progress fade away in the last hour. By this I mean this probably shouldn't be your first ultra maybe even not the second (it was mine) but I have learnt a ton and come to discover a fabulous place I would never have thought to visit otherwise.
My goal was not to get turned away at the check points for missing cut offs I more than achieved this and so walk away proud.
Thanks team for laying it all on. I think I'll be back but when more wiser to the skills of this terrain type.
