I took part in the Northumberland coastal half Marathon. This was an excellent event. Very good pre-race communication meant we were very well prepared on the morning of the event. There was plenty of parking, toilet and mobile cafe facilities at the start.
The scenery was just amazing and the view of the castle at the end was spectacular. The course was quite different to the other coastal events I have participated in. There was little elevation or descent. There was quite a bit of running on sand, some of which was quite soft but that was a bit different for me. There was plenty of company all the way around the course from other runners and lots of spectator support. The finish had a lovely feel about it with the castle in view in the background. Winning my age group category was a bonus.
Overall this was a great event and I would recommend it.

Amazing event - really well organized and beautiful route
5th Northumberland run l've done + always really enjoy it. Brilliant organisation from parking to coaches + run itself. Super-friendly marshalls. Environmentally-conscious with no plastic cups. One of the few dog-friendly events available - always a good number of happy dogs running which is great to see. Participants always friendly - it's not a PB sort of event, it's all about the views + the atmosphere, with everyone from 10k to ultra to canicross running together + supporting one another :-)
Participated in the Endurancelife Northumberland marathon, Feb 2025. Really well organised event which ran like clockwork. Cannot fault any part of it and had a great time - thank you!

Just did the Bamburgh half marathon for a second year, what an awesome race, well organised, cracking route, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, plenty of aid stations and they even sorted the weather for the day

This is a race which I have raced for several years and it never get’s any easier as the terrain and weather are ever different so always a mental and physical challenge to complete. I love it !!!
