Great race loved it
Fantastic race, beautiful scenery and so well organised. Highly recommend.
Starting with negatives, but they are biggest. The race route needed to be changed approx 2 weeks out and they made a decision for us to run along the seafront. However, clearly nobody checked tide tines as all the marathon runners were forced to actually enter the sea and I'm not just talking ankle deep. At times thigh deep with rough waves crashing over the top of us. All this whist trying to safely scramble over groins and rocks. I'm honestly surprised that nobody got swept out to sea. I don't normally leave negative feedback for races, but this was a huge error of judgement on the organisers part.
I am a local to the area and there was a very easy route detour that could have been taken to ensure safety. Ok, so I loved the idea of the water containers having pump systems but only one out of all of them attached, meaning you had to wait.
Please hand out medals to weary Runners or at least remind them where to collect them.
The extremely strong winds and treacherous mud made the course very likely to see casualties, but despite this there were no route marshals just the aid stations every 6 miles..except for one extra marshal in Worth Matravers.
The marshals that were at aid stations were lovely, so that's a positive. Sorry to be so negative but improvements need to be made to this race.
On a different day, with different weather conditions , it would be a challenging but stunning race but you HAVE to be ready for bad weather/tides etc and have an alternative safey plan!
Very well organised race, the 10k course was tough going with all the mud, but worth it for the epic views along the South West Coastal path, and definitely cannot fault the event staff and volunteers.

Dorset trail, really well organised event. Good comfy bus to the start line and a well sign posted route. Drink stations few and far between but respect it is pretty hard to get them up the cliffs. Only stopper for 5 stars was not having the medals at the finish line. Another hill to walk up and get it 😀 Tough run in the mud for sure.
Great event despite muddy wet conditions the course was beautiful well signposted and so well organised. This was my first event I will definitely be doing another
The event was run very well Support staff for exceptionally helpful and the run was just beautiful And very nicely challenging. We will definitely be doing this from now on.
