Had the weather not been brutal the race would have been beautiful! The views and scenery are epic but the hills and wind and rain combo were harsh!!!

A gruelling run but superbly organised.
My first Classic Quarter and the longest ultra I had run to date!!
The weather was horrendous !!
But the whole day went very well…the checkpoint people were helpful,encouraging and really gave you a boost to carry on.
Everyone I chatted to on the route were happy,the amount of supporters on the route who cheered you on were also a great boost.
Next years CQ…..I will think about!

Great course, volunteers very friendly and helpful, and finish line atmosphere special. Also, communication leading up to event, manual, etc all good. On down-side: toilets at start just not sufficient in terms of quantity, variety of food and drink at aid stations could be better + facilities at mid-point and finish to change, rest, etc a bit underwhelming. In good weather all likely not much of an issue but in the wet and windy conditions a bit disappointing
Great race! Amazing route and great atmosphere. Checkpoints could be better but easy enough to carry what you need. I will be back!
This was my second Classic Quarter event .. this year 2026 had to be one of the most memorable due to the extreme weather .. 50 mile winds , rain and plenty of sea spray , arriving at the Lizard for 0630 in those conditions wasn’t an enjoyable experience but the run was a certainly a challenge.. I say never again but who knows !
Classic Quarter 2026 - Incredibly fun event, well signposted and aid stations were well stocked.
I completed this as my first Ultra, which made for quite the challenge given the nature of the coastal path and the weather conditions on the day.
I would recommend to anyone and will likely run this again in the future.
